Exciting new opportunity for a HR Officer based in the Hobart CBD with a fast-paced organisation
**Your new company**
Our client is one of Tasmania’s leading hospitality businesses. This business has been in operation for over 50 years, and they have multiple locations. This is a new opportunity has that has arisen for a HR Officer to join their team as soon as possible on a full-time permanent basis to provide support during a very busy period.
**Your new role**
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, your main responsibility will be to provide administration support and assistance t the Senior Leadership Team to ensure the effective function of HR, WHS, Compliance and payroll. This busy role will see you responsible for:
- Provide support to the recruitment function including shorting, interviewing, references onboarding and inductions
- Preparing and amending HR documents eg issuing contracts, organising and maintaining employee records
- Assisting with the coordination of training programs and maintaining training records
- Maintain incident/near miss reporting and assisting with WHS workplace inspection process
- Assist with the submission and processing of workers compensation claim with the insurance provider
- Performance back up payroll when required
- Team Meeting coordination and minute taking
- Liaise with the CEO on how to assist with the Team Culture Committee
- Any other adhoc administration duties as required
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be considered you will demonstrate the following:
- A drive to progress your career in Human Resources
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Recent HR Administration experience and/or tertiary qualifications (desirable)
- You must be professional, approachable, have excellent communication skills and time management skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to change
- Previous experience with payroll
