**Available hours**
**Fixed term part-time - 20 hours per fortnight (30 June 2025 - 12 September 2025)**

**About the Role**

We’re seeking a VMO Anaesthetist to join the team at Grampians Health Ballarat to provide safe and high-quality anaesthetic care during a fixed-term contract covering Long Service Leave. This is a great opportunity to deliver care across a broad clinical scope while supporting training, teaching and collaborative practice in a dynamic regional setting.
- Provide anaesthesia for elective and emergency cases
- Care for paediatric, adult and obstetric patients
- Share on-call anaesthetic duties
- Supervise and teach Registrars, HMOs and students
- Participate in departmental research and clinical review

**Key Responsibilities**
- Deliver safe, specialist anaesthesia services
- Provide pre
- and post-operative patient care
- Manage emergency and routine anaesthesia across age groups
- Support outreach services where required
- Contribute to teaching and supervision
- Engage in continuous practice improvement

**Skills & Experience**
- Medical degree and AHPRA registration
- Fellowship of ANZCA (or equivalent)
- Proven ability in regional anaesthesia delivery
- Skilled across general, paediatric and obstetric anaesthesia
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
