**Job Description**:
Australia's leading broadcast video on demand platform, 9Now, offers a destination for consumers around Australia to catch up on their favourite programs and watch live TV anywhere, anytime, on their chosen device. Nine’s live and local audio content has never been more effective, whether it’s tuning into our live talk radio stations, digitally streaming on your own device, or listening to one of our specialist entertainment and investigative podcasts.

Ideally you have a passion for managing people and a background in building high-quality, resilient and scalable APIs. You will be able to organise and motivate teams to consistently deliver on significant roadmaps of enhancements, while creating a culture of open communication and continuous learning.

You will have confidence discussing complex technical concepts with your peers and can articulate them simply and clearly to business stakeholders. You will manage multiple relationships, including product managers, designers, senior tech leadership and external vendors.

Enabling your team
- Work with stakeholders to provide technical solutions to problems or issues
- Act as a enabler, removing roadblocks to progress as needed
- Champion high quality standards for yourself and software engineering practices of your team
- Drive the continuous improvement of processes and ways of work to improve team capacity and capability

Technical Leadership
- Drive adoption of best practice and best in class technology
- Remove single points of failure by cross-skilling staff and making sensible, strategic resourcing decisions

**Qualifications**:
What we’d like to see:

- Demonstrated experience in a team or technical leadership role managing people
- Strong technical knowledge and hands-on development capability in relevant technologies. (eg. Javascript, NodeJS, GraphQL, Cloud infrastructure or others as required by the squad)
- Experience running a team responsible for high availability, high volume digital products
- Proven skills creating a high performance team environment
- Managing yourself and your team in a fast changing environment with competing priorities
- A strong understanding of agile development best practices including Scrum and Lean methodologies
