Founded on a rooftop in 2014 by three friends with a shared love of coffee, MF has since grown into a global brand with a team of over 100 people across the world, with offices in the UK, USA, and Australia. We create plant-based products for coffee lovers, baristas and a better planet. Minor Figures would be nothing without the independent coffee scene and our products can be found in over 4,000 specialty coffee shops worldwide, where we regularly run Freedays and Minor Figures FM events. **ABOUT THE ROLE**:
We are looking for a talented **Channel Manager** to join our APAC Sales team in Melbourne.
Our sales team at Minor Figures is small, but highly energised with a focus on strategy and punching above our weight in a highly competitive market. As the Channel Manager for On Trade & Independent Grocery, you will have the ability to collaborate effectively, but still have the confidence to work autonomously to create & execute sales strategies with our existing and new distributors.
This role requires a leader with a love for coffee and a passionate approach that motivates the sales team and broader business to achieve greatness. You will have experience in the coffee industry and an understanding of the complexities of working with distributors and key business partners. You will be responsible for 2 team members and manage them as part of your role.
The Channel Manager will actively contribute to the culture of the team and will be ready to get involved, willing to roll up your sleeves and make things happen.
Working closely with the Head of Sales, you will constantly be learning and developing skills that will assist you grow as a salesperson & leader. **WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR**:
What's in a job title? At Minor Figures, we don't box people in. Everyone is different and every day is different. We want people to display their passions and talents as often as possible. Sure, for the Channel Manager of On Trade & Wholesale Grocery we have duties below, but don't feel you're limited to them.
Let's run through them:
- Manage and drive sales through our core distributors nationally and build strong strategic partnerships with them, key customers & retailers.
- Seek new opportunities for Minor Figures to be seen and sold in the right places making sure you identify, win, and nurture the accounts for long term loyalty.
- Drive a sales strategy that sets Minor Figures up for success and expands our presence and status in the coffee community.
- Manage & motivate a team of territory managers. Supporting and developing them to ensure they have everything they need to be successful on the road.
- Being able to think, review and react fast when necessary. Monitor business and category performance, ensuring trends, opportunities or risks in performance are flagged early and adjustments in plans are made so we are always ahead of the game.
- Team player, be willing to lend a hand always whether that’s blitzing cafés or helping unload a delivery.
- Embody and positively promote Minor Figures mission, values and brand message
- Manage and deliver a profitable P&L making sure we hit gross revenue and net revenue targets, forecast accurately and invest to grow with the right distributors.
- Reporting - track and report on weekly distribution / sales performance
