Newly created role Due to expansion within the business and merger into a Trans-Tasman operational model we are on the lookout for a highly experienced Data Governance Manager. This is a full-time permanent position and can be based in any of our offices in NSW,VIC, QLD with Hybrid working arrangements.

**THE ROLE**:
The Group Manager Data Governance is responsible for the implementation and management of the data governance framework, and related policies and processes, to ensure that Downer operates efficiently, effectively and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Reporting under the CFO function, The Group Manager Data Governance will lead a team to support key Group Finance reporting systems, transformational activities, and manage internal control processes.

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Degree in Finance, IT or Data Related Discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in leading the implementation of a data governance framework, including policy and process development, within a large, complex organisation.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of data governance, privacy, and data security, including knowledge of potential risks and the regulatory landscape.
- Experience in developing and implementing professional development and training programs in data governance.
- Experience in management or financial accounting, including group consolidations.
- Experience engaging with and influencing stakeholders, to drive successful change management.
- Experience in management of financial systems and related processes.
- Experience in managing a team.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities to tight deadlines.
- Ability to identify and manage risks, with the skills to understand impacts and provide mitigation strategies.
