Brisbane, Australia Regional Development, Manufacturing and Water Full time

Operating from within Water Resource Management, South Region, you will be involved in leading, managing and mentoring a team, deciding complex water entitlement dealings and overseeing access to water in South Region. You will manage business critical projects and activities and address emergent service delivery issues. You will have a team of approximately 18 people located across the Brisbane, Bundaberg, Gympie and Gatton offices.
**Key Accountabilities**:
Lead a team of approximately 18 staff across 4 regional centres managing water entitlements and access to water in the South Region, and leadership responsibilities include leading the team to deliver the following:

- Provision of advice to stakeholders, industry, and community on entitlements to take water and the water management framework
- Active management of access to water during flow events and reporting on compliance with flow conditions
- Management of water use and entitlement holder accounts within entitlement and reporting on water availability, and
- Lead implementation of commitments related to water entitlements and water sharing in the South Region water plan areas.
- Build and sustain positive working relationships with a network of internal and external stakeholders.
- Actively participate as a member of the Water Resource Management Leadership Team including taking on various champion roles across the region and state.
- Ensure a safe and enjoyable working environment and promote a culture of service delivery, leadership and high performance that recognises the unique contribution of the individual, encourages personal and team development, and encourages an appropriate work/life balance.
- Anticipate issues, manage risks and provide timely advice and prepare reports, briefing notes, submissions and correspondence.
- Manage, mentor, coach, and train staff in their development to ensure the necessary skills and motivation exist to respond to service delivery requirements and perform to a high level of skill and expertise.

About You
- A current 'C' class driver's license and be willing to obtain a manual licence if necessary.
- Travel away from the centre may be required. This may involve travel outside of normal office hours and/or overnight accommodation for extended periods.
