As the Manager within Social and Affordable Housing, you will provide expert advice and high-quality leadership to manage initiatives and projects relating to successful program reform and program management of social and affordable housing within Queensland by:

- managing the activities of work teams operating at a strategic level within the organisation
- Managing and prioritising workloads within the team and ensuring effective management of multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- leading a small team to ensure the effective and efficient management of several social and affordable housing programs funded by the department, including program reform where required
- developing and maintaining high-level relationships with State agencies, peak bodies, community housing providers and the Commonwealth, and liaising and negotiating with those stakeholders about increasing the supply of social and affordable housing
- managing the investment for new and ongoing social and affordable housing programs
- developing, implementing, and maintaining policy, performance and procedural tools and systems and new business processes that support key projects and programs within the team
- preparing and managing the timely preparation of high-quality reports, briefings, presentations, submissions and correspondence for senior managers, the Director
- General, and the Minister
- providing expert advice on operational policies, procedures, systems, and emergent issues to the Director on a range of projects within the unit.
