**The Opportunity**

QIC’s State Investments (SI) team acts as the long-term investment manager for the state of Queensland, the team’s focus on the future helps deliver value to our government clients. We offer an outsourced CIO model to a broad range of Queensland government clients. We are Brisbane based, delivering global expertise for the benefit of a local market.

The Manager position will be primarily responsible for supporting the State Investments Managing Director.

In addition to this you will also be responsible for delivering key tasks such as:

- Assist with the management and delivery of reports and presentations to key stakeholders including management & clients
- Manage the delivery of portfolio analytics to support investment decisions and client deliverables
- Deliver corporate reporting and presentations to key stakeholders including management
- Support the team to operationalise investment initiatives with a focus on execution excellence and risk management
- Proactively manage stakeholders with the ability to influence and deliver business outcomes
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver business outcomes

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated industry experience in the finance/funds management space. You will have tertiary qualifications in economics, finance, commerce, business, or other relevant field.

With approximately 5 years’ experience working within a similar role, you will have proven capability & strengths spanning across areas such as:

- Sound understanding of investments and investment structures.
- Strong interest in and academic exposure to international economics, financial markets and the drivers of publicly traded markets (bonds, equities, currencies) at both the macro and micro levels
- A detailed understanding of portfolio analytics and data management
- A high degree of stakeholder management and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Play a lead role in the delivery of initiatives that contribute to strong investment outcomes
- A strong focus on risk mitigation, process improvement and operational efficiencies
- Management of portfolio analytics (pertaining to risk and performance outcomes) for the State Investment Team to support the delivery of the investment strategy
- A detailed understanding of reconciliations, including performance and fee reconciliations.
- Ability to remain agile and meet numerous conflicting deadlines.
- A strong track record demonstrating your ability to influence and support junior team members.
