Deployment Technician

As a Deployment Technician at Lumination you will take responsibility for the installation of our immersive virtual reality Lumination Learning Labs at our client sites across NSW, including providing technical assistance and advice throughout the installation process.

Reporting to the local Project Manager, and as part of the broader Operations team, you’ll juggle multiple projects and deadlines, overcome obstacles and ensure our clients have a fully installed Learning Lab on time, every time.

Joining Lumination, an immersive technology leader with a consistent record of client success, you’ll receive extensive ongoing training to ensure you become a technical expert of all things Lumination.

**A day on the job will see you**:

- Designing and installing unique immersive technology and other technical installations that integrate seamlessly with existing infrastructure
- Liaising with clients and the internal Operations team to come up with concept designs of Lumination Learning Lab spaces
- Recommending suitable hardware and software solutions based on industry experience
- Providing sound technical advice both on site and remotely
- Championing learning lab implementation and support
- Daily communication with the Project Manager for site task updates and risks, issues and opportunities
- Working with a range of clients and acting as the point of contact for AV enquiries
- Learning and experiencing the Lumination immersive technology first hand
- Researching the new technologies and market trends to bring innovation
- Providing exceptional service to our clients, providing guidance and support throughout the installation process
- Acting as a conduit between contractors and clients to ensure that the product fulfils all of our client expectations and fits with their vision
- Driving innovation to ensure that our Lumination Learning Labs are dynamic, and constantly evolving to be world-class
- With the support of our IT team in SA, providing local IT support to our Sydney office

**To impress us you’ll need**
- A tertiary qualification in ICT / AV or similar
- A minimum of 3 years experience in delivering design and solutions to clients, on-site tech installations and/or support of ICT/AV systems
- Experience in building and configuring PC’s and ICT hardware
- A passion for and understanding of best practice when using emerging technologies like VR, AR, AI, robotics, coding and drones in the classroom, or educational setting
- In-depth knowledge of audio visual systems/programs, ICT and VR systems
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, and a ‘can-do’ attitude to tackle challenges and hurdles
- Customer service skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
