MHCS is currently looking for proactive, energetic, and confident support workers who can engage with clients requiring varying levels of support. Multiple shifts are available across different locations, working with a range of clients with different needs and hours. There is also strong potential for increased hours over time.

- Experience providing support to individuals with disability, including those with complex needs
- A calm, patient, and person-centred approach to care
- Energetic and engaging personality with a genuine passion for helping others
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage behaviours in a respectful and supportive way
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be comfortable working with clients of all ages and backgrounds, in line with their individual care preferences

- **About the Role**_
We're seeking Disability Support Workers to provide personalised, community-based care. This role involves supporting participants with a range of needs, from daily living tasks to social and recreational activities, including those with more complex behaviours.

No two days are the same. You’ll be working with a variety of participants, each with their own goals, routines, and challenges. Your focus will be on empowering individuals to live with independence, dignity, and connection to their community.
- **Key Responsibilities**_
- Personal care and assistance with daily routines
- Meal preparation and light domestic duties
- Medication prompts and health-related support
- Support with community access and social engagement
- Working alongside participants who may display complex behaviours
- Communicating with families, health professionals, and internal teams
- Completing daily documentation and shift reporting using mobile apps
- **What We’re Looking For**_
- Previous experience in disability or community support
- A calm, professional, and reliable approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Comfortable using mobile technology and apps
- Current Australian driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (essential)
- Availability across various shifts, including weekends
- **Desirable but Not Essential**:_
- Experience supporting individuals with complex behaviours or mental health conditions
- Knowledge of person-centred active support
- Ambition to progress into senior or leadership roles
