**About the Role**:
The Product Owner will work in a pragmatic team with this NSW Government organisation and focus on 2 streams of work: a digital ways of working stream and a data program. The digital ways of working progam focuses on improving and digitising the workplace across state government, whilst the Data Program aims to create generational change in governmental services.
You will work across directorates and support the Delivery Lead with raising maturity and managing risk. You will be proactive, forward thinking, and engaged to transform.
This position is a 6 month contract + extension, paying $1000 per day + super and is based in Sydney CBD + WFH.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead multi-disciplinary Agile teams managing the product lifecycle, including defining and executing product vision and strategy and validating product features and design
- Collect and prioritise inputs to inform product decisions and determining the right approach for the team
- Lead and define an outcome-oriented product roadmap, informed by customer insights and feedback
- Define and write user stories, acceptance criteria and success metrics, ensuring customer centric product design, development and delivery with sustainable targets
- Adopt flexible and future ways of working through cross functional teams, effectively communicating plans, processes while managing stakeholder expectations
- Identify, manage and resolve risks and issues
**Key Skills**:
- Previous government experience desirable but not mandatory
- Experience with Jira & Confluence
- Domain knowledge - Agile principles / Agile delivery
- Experience / domain knowledge - Data (optional)
- Experience / domain knowledge - Business transformation (optional)
