**About this opportunity**

Located at our Keysborough APM site, the Maintenance Manager will directly support the Manufacturing Manager, engaging with the production team and overseeing the building requirements and engineering function to drive best practice and continuous improvement initiatives that will maximise efficiencies and improve overall operational performance.

**Your key responsibilities will be to**:

- Monitor daily plant maintenance activities to ensure priorities are known and met.
- Manage the operation and maintenance of all building, industrial plant, equipment, installations design and upgrade changes.
- Provide leadership, coaching, support, and performance management to direct reports across 3 shifts.
- Maintaining plant production capability to meet demand output requirements
- Co-ordinates all contractor support, services and ensure JSEA and work permits are issued.
- Ensure the effective and efficient use of contractor and suppliers
- Manage engineering improvement initiatives/priorities in line with overall business/site objectives
- Drive and lead efforts for continuous improvement to engineering and production efficiencies
- Manage maintenance and engineering department Safety, Health & Environment program (Toolbox meetings)
- Enhance and expand the site preventative maintenance program.
- Assist with long term capital planning and implementing capital projects
- Ensure Induction, JSEA and Work permits are issued and completed

**Your skills and experience**

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

- Demonstrated commitment to safety and embedding “Toward Zero Harm” mindset
- Maintenance leadership experience
- Risk assessment, JSEA, Work permit, Deviation, CAPA related experience
- Continuous Improvement and change management experience
- Outstanding aptitude to communicate with a wide range of people coupled with Facilitation, coaching & development skills
- Formal training/working experience in Lean manufacturing techniques and root cause analysis (critical)
- Well-developed, effective, and collaborative interpersonal skills
- Resilience and approachability with proven ability to lead effectively in a team environment to drive performance
