Based in Melbourne’s western suburbs, this culture-focused, family-owned transport business has established itself as the fastest growing cartage organisation in Victoria. Going from strength to strength over the last 15 years, they are now one of the most trusted 3PL companies for some of the country’s top freight services. This business is now looking for an experienced Cartage Coordinator to join their team.

Your new role

Your daily responsibilities will include:

- Daily planning of container time slots and stack runs
- Communicate with the export team to ensure maximum productivity (load planning)
- Liaise with customer service representatives to ensure customers’ expectations are met
- Manoeuvre time slots when needed
- Organisation of wharf vehicles
- Updating of the operating system, providing visibility of all driver movements

What you’ll need to succeed
- Freight tracker system experience
- A strong understanding of container load planning
- Experience and understanding of local wharf operations
- Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in a container related logistics role
- Knowledge of the 1-stop VBS system
- Willingness to work 1 Saturday a month
- A strong understanding of container mass and dimensions

What you’ll get in return
