A pivotal opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cartage Coordinator to join this professional and supportive team. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for:

- Booking cargo movement with carriers
- Liaising with clients to keep them informed of delivery dates, times and any special shipping requirements
- Consulting with shipping lines to verify charges, ETA’s and any updates on shipping details
- Manage the pay-out of duty/GST
- Liaising with freight forwarders and shipping lines regarding charges
- Checking and approving cartage costs
- Arranging documentation to transport companies and/or clients

Pace Appointments is seeking an individual with the following attributes:

- Demonstrated industry experience in a similar position a must
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to build relationships at all levels internally and externally
- High attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time managements skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines
- Outgoing and confident in your approach with ability to exceed expectations
- A team player with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Sound working knowledge of the Microsoft suite and previous experience with Cargowise and Customs ICS system
