As a Support Worker you will be responsible for supporting people in their every-day living, ensuring that they have maximum opportunity to develop valued lifestyles, providing opportunities for choice, control, self-advocacy and becoming a valued member of the community. In this role, working under the direction of a Team Leader, your day will involve:
- Building and maintaining trusting and meaningful working relationships with people we support, their circle of support and the community.
- Assisting in developing, implementation, support and evaluating plans that enable people we support to set and achieve personal goals.
- Facilitate community inclusion and participation and support clients to build and maintain relationships and interests through access to community activities, venues and services.
- Encouraging positive and socially appropriate behaviour, and effectively manage challenging behaviours.
- Providing personal care where required and personalised support and transport clients in accordance with their personal plan.
To be successful in this role, any previous experience assisting others who live with disability is a strength. **This experience may be from previous professional or from personal life experience**. With this as your foundation, you will provided with comprehensive training and induction to ensure you have everything you need to be able to provide excellent, professional support.

Before you can start working with us, you need to provide, or be willing to obtain:
- 2 referees
- Evidence of working rights within Australia such as a passport or birth certificate
- A current valid Driver's License
- Your own registered vehicle and insurance.
- Working with Children Check & NDIS Worker Screening Check (we will pay for these if you haven’t got them yet)
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
