**Position Information**:
Swansea Public School, situated at the entrance of Lake Macquarie, is an innovative school that is committed to being reflective, collaborative, and progressive in all that we do. Our school has a strong relational focus and is heavily committed to and invested in working with our students and their families to provide exceptional standards of education, learning and care.

Our current enrolment of 213 students includes 52 proud Aboriginal students. We provide quality learning opportunities to meet the diverse needs of our students through STEM, Personalised Learning, Highly Gifted and Potential Education initiatives, and Aboriginal programs, so our students grow and improve every day.

Swansea Public School is recognised as a leader in restorative practice through the ongoing development of our committed teachers, caring students and connected community. Our school is also an active member of the Galgabba Community of Schools, which enriches the learning of all students across our community.

**Selection Criteria**:
Approval to teach infants and primary (K-6) with the ability to develop inclusive environments and a thorough understanding of effective classroom management strategies that enhance student engagement, wellbeing, and learning outcomes.

Demonstrated ability to enhance learning outcomes for all students through high quality differentiated evidence informed literacy practices.

Demonstrated ability to enhance learning outcomes for all students through high quality differentiated evidence informed numeracy practices.

Demonstrated ability to work as a highly effective and collaborative member of staff, using reflective practice, feedback, and quality professional dialogue, to support whole school improvement and initiatives.

Evidence of highly developed communication, organisational and interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to work flexibly as part of a collaborative team and the ability to build positive partnerships with students, staff, and the wider school community.

Commitment to and understanding of Aboriginal education with the capacity to embrace and authentically embed Aboriginal perspectives into teaching and learning programs to support positive and successful outcomes for students.
