We are seeking an experienced and passionate **Recreational**or **Diversional Therapist**to join our Lifestyle and Community team as a **Lifestyle and Community Advisor.**This is a pivotal role responsible for supporting the development, implementation and evaluation of high-quality lifestyle and community programs and wellbeing initiatives that meet the diverse needs of clients across all RSL LifeCare service areas.

You are a dynamic and values-driven professional with a strong understanding of lifestyle and wellbeing programs for older people. You have a genuine commitment to person-centred practice and bring strong knowledge of aged care legislation and contemporary therapeutic approaches.

You will work with the Lifestyle, Wellbeing & Community teams across multiple locations - guiding excellence in service delivery, mentoring staff and helping our residential homes prepare for accreditation and aged care reform. This role is essential in driving a consistent, person-centred and evidence-informed approach to lifestyle and wellbeing services across the organisation.

**In this role, you'll be expected to**:

- Establish and utilise robust data collection systems and leverage data insights to inform service and program development, enhancing program quality and driving continuous improvement
- Support teams to develop and deliver inclusive, client-centred engagement programs aligned to best practice and the Aged Care Quality Standards
- Guide continuous improvement through evaluation, data analysis and use of consumer feedback
- Mentor and build capability within Lifestyle and Wellbeing teams, fostering innovation and professional growth
- Provide practice oversight to ensure programs are tailored, impactful and reflective of our clients' cultural, emotional, physical, cognitive, social and spiritual needs
- Assist services in audit readiness, documentation review and alignment with organisational standards and procedures
- Collaborate with Managers, clinical teams and other stakeholders to embed lifestyle and wellbeing services within holistic models of care
- Contribute to the design and delivery of training and education initiatives across the lifestyle and wellbeing workforce

**A bit about you**:

- Hold a tertiary qualification in one of the following disciplines: Bachelor of Health Science (Therapeutic Recreation/Recreational Therapy), Bachelor of Health Science (Leisure and Health), Bachelor of Applied Science (Leisure and Health), Diploma in Diversional Therapy or an Associate Diploma in Applied Science (Diversional Therapy)
- Additional qualifications in health promotion, gerontology, or health service management desirable
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior recreational / diversional therapy or lifestyle related role within aged care
- Experience supporting lifestyle teams
- Comprehensive understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and accreditation processes
- Outstanding interpersonal, coaching and relationship-building skills
- Eligible to be a certified member of the Australian Recreational Therapy Association
- If you have experience working with veteran communities or not-for-profit aged care providers, that's a huge advantage
