- UGL Defence is currently working towards the award of a fuel related Asset Management, Operations and Maintenance contract with Defence. We are recruiting a HSSE Manager to join our business in what is an exciting and unique opportunity to work in the Australia Defence environment to support the national security requirements of the Nation.

**The Role**

The Risk & Assurance Manager, reporting into the Project Director, will build and lead a small team, overseeing sites and locations across the country. The Risk & Assurance Manager is responsible for, but not limited to:

- Delivering the risk management services, a key component of the DFN MCC
- Establish and maintain robust risk and quality management systems and processes to ensure compliance is sustained
- Lead best practice of risk and assurance activities and quality behaviours across all operations and ensure a clear understanding of UGL and Defence expectations
- Management of Risk register and capture any changes in risk profile
- Lead, deliver and champion security management to meet Commonwealth DISP security requirements

**On Your First Day we expect you to bring to the team**:

- Degree qualified in Risk, Quality, HSE, Engineering or any other relevant discipline
- 10+ years’ experience in a similar high-risk environment, preferably oil and gas, Petro-chemical or other related industry
- Proven experience leading delivery of quality management, including people and systems
- Thorough knowledge of ISO31000, 9001, 14001 and 45001 frameworks, practices, and processes
- Current holder, or ability to obtain a Security clearance
