Warehouse 2ic and Stock Controller

Pleasant Foods is a fast growing, 40 years young family owned food service business at Tennyson. We have an exciting new role available to help support our growth and dynamic management team. This is a diverse and challenging role suited to a hands on operator with previous experience in a food distribution business. We operate in a fast paced, just in time environment, definitely not a desk job.

Our loyal customers include independent bakeries, food service businesses, cafes and restaurants.

Pleasant Foods continues to experience growth and as such we are now seeking an stock controller or purchasing officer to join the team. Permanent full-time position is on offer to the successful applicant. Working in and out of chilled environments, this position will be responsible for ensuring all stock control procedures are being adhered to with a view to maintaining high levels of stock integrity within the location. This will involve daily analysis, reporting and investigating any discrepancies. Whilst also directing warehouse staff in relation to picking and packing routines, vehicle loading and goods receival.

The successful applicant's role's will include, but is not limited to:

- Ensure key inventory reports are produced weekly and analysed
- Routinely conduct cycle counts and spot checks
- Investigate all discrepancies and issues within pre-determined time frames
- Conduct stock takes & perform regular stock adjustments
- Maintain excellent standards of recording and filing all reports, stock adjustments, waste, credits and out of stock information.
- Ensure that stock receipting accuracy is maintained to the highest level
- Process customer orders, enquires and following up on any issues
- Attend regular toolbox meetings and contribute to a multi-functional team

Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications
- Must have Stock Control experience (stocktake, cycle counts, supplier relationships)
- Must have valid High Risk Forklift License
- Must have previous ERP system experience
- Strong analytical skills and superior attention to detail
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- Superior time management skills with the ability to manage work schedules unsupervised
- A good knowledge of warehouse and distribution functions with great fresh produce product knowledge
- Flexible and reliable with the capacity to work under pressure in and around a busy team
- Strong understanding of OH&S and HACCP
- Team player & great communicator

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
