Logistics Supervisor

About the role

As a Logistics Supervisor at Carter & Spencer, you will play a key role in overseeing the efficient and effective operation of our logistics and distribution processes. In this full-time position based in Tennyson, QLD, you will be responsible for leading a team of logistics professionals and ensuring the seamless delivery of products to our customers.

What you'll be doing

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the logistics team, including warehouse operations, inventory management, and transportation scheduling

Monitor productivity and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement streamlined processes

Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize cost, efficiency, and customer satisfaction

Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate communication of logistics-related information

Provide training and support to logistics team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development

Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

Contribute to the overall success of the logistics department and the broader organization

What we're looking for

Experience in a logistics or supply chain supervisory role (2+ years preferred)

Current Forklift License.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically and adapt to changing business needs

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team

Proficient in the use of logistics management software and data analysis tools

Thorough understanding of logistics operations, including warehouse management, inventory control, and transportation planning

Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements

Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and a track record of driving operational efficiencies
