Tullamarine, Australia PPG Industries Full time

As a **Production Supervisor**, you will report to Operations Manager based at Tullamarine, Victoria and will manage the daily production of several coatings’ products following product formulae while assisting the Operations Manager as directed.

You will work with the EHS department to meet PPG Requirements and Victorian OHS Regulations - inclusive of writing of Work instructions, and hazard identification / risk assessment activities, co-ordinate site waste programs inclusive of waste recording and reporting, participate as a EHSLT committee member and participate in the site EHSMS.

**Responsibilities**
- Coordinate the site 5S & Lean continuous improvement activities together with the Operations Manager.
- Work with the production planner and production admin support and provide a backup for these roles.
- Oversee the general daily maintenance and cleanliness of the coatings production equipment and maintain general housekeeping.
- Manage batch adjustments, approve work orders and packaging of completed batches.
- Coordinate the daily production of several packaging operations on the Sealant filling line and third-party chemical packaging.
- Train production workers, allocating activities, preparing materials and equipment to support the day’s work orders.
- Reconcile staff time sheets and submit to payroll for payment.
- Implement quality control, and all departments relating to approval work orders.

**Qualifications**
- Ability to interpret product formulae and knowledge of equipment concerning coatings and sealant production.
- Adherence to maintenance schedules for coatings and sealant production equipment.
- Liaison with the production planner and operations manager concerning production schedules.
- Current forklift operator’s licence would an additional advantage but not mandatory.
- Awareness of EH&S systems, 5S, Lean Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement Principles, OEE and data analysis.
