Our client is seeking a Project Controls Coordinator to start immediately.

Position Purpose:
Develop, implement and embed Project Management Office's 3 year forecasted delivery plan through documented management plans, reporting and processes for Council's Captial and Operational program.

Key Responsibilities and Outcomes

**Project Planning and Programming**:

- Develop a comprehensive consolidated program that caters for all Project Management Office assigned projects.
- Utilize advanced programming techniques to create efficient and effective reporting outputs.
- Implement efficient and optimized programming solutions to enhance scheduling accuracy.
- Oversee and review forecasted activities for each project phase and every project for a 3 year window.

**Monthly Reporting Structures and Process**:

- Establish and implement robust monthly reporting structures for multiple project portfolios including resource allocation baselines and key performance indicators.
- Generate accurate process and management plans to enable standardised reporting.
- Design and implement standardised templates to allow reporting at a program level.

**Baseline Establishment**:

- Establish accurate program baselines, capturing scope, schedule, budget and resource requirements.
- Implement effective change control procedures to manage deviations from the baseline.

**Slippage Reporting (movement schedule)**:

- Monitor program timelines and identify any slippage from the baseline schedule.
- Assist in the development of corrective actions and provide detailed reports on the cause and potential solutions for projects/program slippage.

**Resource Allocation Loadings**:

- Assist the MPM with advice in order to optimize resource allocations, ensuring that project teams have the necessary skills and capacity to meet the department objectives.
- Assist the MPM in developing load-balancing strategies and/or approaches to outsourcing to address resource constraints.
- Identify and present options where alternate delivery models may be required to achieve project targets.

**Projects Controls**:

- Coordinate with the Project Management Office Coordinator:

- Improve data input from the project management staff.
- Developing and managing project policies, procedures, templates, and other shared documentation.
- Resolve technical issues as they arise and consult with management and/or project managers regarding project matters.
- Manage and support the Project Management Office Coordinator to ensure their responsibilities.

**Knowledge & Experience**:

- Extensive experience (minimum 10 years) in senior project management roles with a focus on programming and scheduling.
- Advanced programming skills and proficiency in project scheduling tools and software.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in using dashboarding tools
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities and data analysis skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of project portfolio management, change management, risk management and quality assurance principles and methodologies.
- Ability to facilitate collaboration and align transformation efforts.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field is desirable.
- Current C class driver's licence.
