Position Purpose:
In the Barista role at Derrimut Nutrition Bar, you will greet customers cheerfully, courteously and professionally, take orders, prepare specialty food & beverage items and fulfill orders. Your main goal is providing an exemplary customer experience to all customers. You must be able to work fast and efficiently yet maintain composure under pressure and always be cheerful and friendly. Delivering an extraordinary level of customer service that results in strong repeat business is a must. Success in this role will be demonstrated by delivering a high level of customer satisfaction and working effectively in a high performing, team environment.

Position Overview:

- Work collaboratively with management and staff to ensure the smooth operation of DNB areas within the facility.
- Create a welcoming atmosphere by greeting members and visitors, addressing their needs, and enhancing customer satisfaction as reflected in survey feedback.
- Drive sales for the nutrition bar by actively promoting products and engaging with customers to achieve sales targets.
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffees, following established recipes and accommodating customer preferences.
- Offer detailed information on the nutritional content of beverages and food items to assist customers in making informed choices.
- Manage administrative tasks such as inventory management and stock procurement to ensure smooth operations.

Essential:

- Minimum of 2 years of barista experience in high volume café.
- Barista Training Certification.
- Hands-on experience in preparing a variety of coffees and specialty beverages, including knowledge of espresso machines, grinders, and brewing methods.
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets through product promotion and customer engagement.
- Basic food handling experience.
- Availability to work in a 24/7 environment, including weekends and public holidays.
- Demonstrated passion for health and nutrition.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Legal right to work without restrictions.
- Valid driver’s license.

Desirable:

- Current First Aid & CPR Certification (willing to obtain).
- Food Safety Certificate (willing to obtain).
