As a graduate you will complete structured course work, learn on-the-job and contribute to business and technical projects. Additionally, you will collaborate on projects across multiple disciplines and be supported and coached to deliver successful business outcomes. It’s a challenging program but by its conclusion, you’ll have made a genuine impact on the business.

As a graduate hydrogeologist in the Water Planning team, you will:

- Gain experience in field hydrogeology, including technical supervision of water bore drilling and test pumping
- Support site based operational teams deliver ore for the business by developing and monitoring tactical site dewatering plans
- Use hydrogeological data collected by our field and operational hydrogeologists to develop and update hydrogeological conceptual models
- Learn about BHP’s water management and stewardship, assist with the development of site water balances to understand our surplus water management requirements
- Work with our approvals and stewardship team by contributing to water related approvals documentation and regulatory annual reporting
- Support our strategic hydrogeologist develop drilling and testing plans targeted at understanding groundwater for the development of future mines

We are looking for Graduate Hydrogeologists to join us in Western Australia where you will be based in the Perth office with the opportunity to visit site and complete field based activities. It is a requirement that you will be in your final year or have recently completed a degree in earth science, geoscience, environmental science or geology. Post graduate studies in hydrogeology would be an advantage;
