We are currently seeking **OOSH**Assistants / Responsible Persons** to join the teams at several of our successful and well-established services across the** Newcastle** region.**
These opportunities will be offered on a**casual basis,** working across our before and after school programs and vacation care programs.
**You must be available to work afternoon shifts at least twice a week.**
As an Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Supervising children’s play, ensuring their physical safety while promoting and guiding positive behaviour
- Assisting the developing and implementing programs that offer a diverse range of experiences to promote children’s independence, social skills, learning, and development.
**Desired Skills and Experience**:
**EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA**
- Computer literacy in order to document examples of learning stories
- Experience in an OOSH service (desirable)
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Working with Children Check verification number
- Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training (desirable)
- Food Handler Basics Training (desirable)
