**Description**:
POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking OOSH Educators and Assistants to join the teams at several of our successful and well-established services across the Newcastle, Hunter and Manning regions.

These position’s will be offered on a casual basis, working across our before and after school programs and vacation care programs.

You must be available to work afternoon shifts at least twice a week.

**As an OOSH Educator / Assistant, you will be responsible for**:

- Supervising children’s play, ensuring their physical safety while promoting and guiding positive behaviour
- Assisting the developing and implementing programs that offer a diverse range of experiences to promote children’s independence, social skills, learning, and development.

**Skills and Experiences**:
EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA
- A fun, professional, positive, and reliable demeanour
- The ability to collaborate as an active member of the St Nicholas OOSH team
- Be able to communicate effectively with children, families, and your team

**A demonstrated understanding of**:

- The National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place, and the Laws and Regulations governing our industry
- Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting
- Workplace Health and Safety issues and practices

QUALIFICATIONS
- A Certificate III/Diploma in Children's Services or Certificate IV in Out of Hours School Care
- Working with Children Check verification number
- Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training
- Child protection qualification.
