**VCAT**

The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) is a justice service that resolves a wide range of disputes for the Victorian community, including renting, planning, and consumer disputes. VCAT is committed to delivering an accessible service for all Victorians and is transforming our digital products and services to make it faster, easier, and more convenient for people to come to the tribunal.

**About the Role**

The role provides leadership and operational support to the VCAT Family Violence team, comprising Family Violence Practitioners and Intake/Coordination staff who support community members experiencing and using family violence when accessing VCAT and/or Rental Dispute Resolution Victoria (RDRV).

The team delivers trauma-informed support to people affected by family or perseonal violence and this role will enhance processes, educate and increase awareness of family violence and will play a key role within the development and enhancement of stakeholder connections.

You will be responsible for:

- leading and contributing towards the successful operation of the Family Violence Team within the VCAT and the RDRV
- supporting community members experiencing and using family violence when accessing VCAT and/or RDRV
- ensuring family violence services are delivered in a person-centred, trauma informed manner with a focus upon intersectionality, responsive to and inclusive of diverse needs, cultures and backgrounds
- participating within various forums to provide support, consultation and guidance regarding projects and operational needs
- building and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders to enhance services provided and assist in the achievement of strategic objectives

**About You**
- sound theoretical and practical expertise in working with people who have experienced and/or are using family violence including risk assessment, safety planning and management
- a comprehensive understanding of the _Family Violence Protection Act _2008, MARAMI Risk Assessment and Management Framework and relevant capabilities
- sound knowledge of evidence-informed practice models and frameworks for working with multiple and complex needs, including intersectionality factors which heighten family violence risk
- demonstrated capacity to establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships

If you have an understanding of relevant legislation to VCAT, it will be considered highly desirable.

You will hbe required to maintain a frequent on-site presence and travel to other venues/locations for Family Violence/Support Services related hearings, meetings and duties.
