**THE ROLE**

A new opportunity to join an innovative energy company and a leading cyber security team with a strong focus on diversity, flexibility, and workplace culture.

As the Threat Simulation Lead, you will manage the implementation of a threat and adversary simulation capability within the Origin SOC, transitioning the team towards a Purple Team operating model. You will have the opportunity to work with a one-of-a-kind DevOps SOC team across the end-to-end improvement process, truly making an impact to Origin and the wider communities.

The role is also responsible for:

- Conducting a comprehensive review of the SOC control stack to inform the simulation strategy and plan.
- Establishing and consistently reviewing/updating the simulation strategy and plan to ensure its effectiveness and alignment with evolving threats.
- Effectively executing the simulation strategy, including capturing and reporting on findings related to control improvements.
- Providing valuable input, such as risk assessments and prioritisation, for the control improvement plans aimed at addressing the findings.
- Managing the necessary capabilities to support the simulation strategy, including tooling, processes, and documentation.
- Collaborate with other Security teams and IT teams to contribute to the design of control uplifts, such as DLP detections and AD group policies.
- Assist in prioritising the necessary improvements to be implemented in the environment.

**IS THIS YOU?**

You consider yourself to be passionate and motived individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You will have prior experience working in Red or Purple Teams, with Adequate understanding of Blue Team operations and challenges.

You will also have or can demonstrate:

- Proficient at threat intel research and navigating the relevant frameworks (e.g. MITRE ATT&CK) to understand adversary techniques and methodologies
- Experience in using security / vulnerability testing / attack simulation tools, performing security research, reviewing advisories, and developing presentations.
- Relevant SANS, Offensive Security, and other industry-recognised offensive security certifications (will be desirable).
