**Where you'll be working**:
The Medical Council of NSW exists to safeguard the health and safety of the public by responding to notifications and complaints about NSW medical practitioners from members of the public, other regulators and members of the health professions. The Council functions under NSW provisions of the Health Practitioner National Law and works in close collaboration with co-regulators, the NSW Health Care Complaints Commission (HCCC) and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Authority (AHPRA). The Council is supported by a secretariat of approximately 53 full time staff.

***What you'll be doing**:
Your responsibilities will be consistent with the expectations of a Medical Administration Trainee. You will be expected to carry out a range of management, administrative and leadership tasks independently and semi-independently, which will include:

- Information gathering, synthesis, analysis and reporting
- Meeting activities
- Project Management
- Stakeholder management
- Clinical Governance and Risk Management in complaints review and analysis
- Participation in research and evaluation projects.

- Click here for the Position Description- To be eligible for employment you must have:

- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- Eligibility for RACMA Training with at least 3 years clinical postgraduate experience
- Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role
- Evidence of ability to develop across the continuum from novice to master i.e. participation in term assessments and reports for new trainees, or RACMA based reports for existing trainees.
- Ability to demonstrate high levels of enthusiasm, initiative, flexibility, time management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to gather information, analyse data and provide reports with appropriate recommendations.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally to a range of stakeholders.
- Ability to demonstrate the CORE values of NSW Health, namely Collaboration, Openness, Respect,and Empowerment.
- Demonstrated interest in and commitment to key areas of Medical Administration responsibilities such as quality improvement, patient safety, risk management, management and clinical governance.
