About the Role
- This role reports to Director, Anaesthesia
- This position fulfils accountabilities and responsibilities in accordance with Metro South's purpose and objectives.
- Provision of the highest standards of clinical anaesthesia and peri-operative patient care
- Ensuring patient safety by understanding and appropriately managing clinical risk
- This role will involve the provision of anaesthesia related services as determined by the needs of Princess Alexandra Hospital. This may involve services in, but is not limited to:

- Main Operating theatres including Cardiac theatres
- Pre-Admission Clinic
- Acute Pain Service
- Endoscopy suite
- Cardiac Catheter laboratories
- Radiology Department
- Day Surgery Procedure Unit
- Involvement in the provision of on-call services
- Appropriate documentation of care using the electronic medical record keeping system
- Contribute to processes to improve the continuity of clinical care, coordination of services, clinical handover, and discharge planning during and after hospitalisation
