Home Care Workers

Mercy Community Services supports and inspires people in need to live healthy lives within inclusive communities. Our services span the continuum of aged care, from home care to respite and believe a big part of what we do is to help our clients flourish. We are presently looking for the right people to provide care, support and assistance to a number of clients across Brisbane.

**About your role**:

- As a Home Care Worker, you’ll work with clients in their homes, following their care plans, to provide support and ensure their needs are met.- Daily duties include:
- Assisting clients with their care requirements in accordance with their care plans and preferences
- Supporting clients with transportation and community access
- Monitoring their condition and reporting on any changes in condition or behaviour
- Ensuring confidentiality of clients
- Providing in-home personal care and daily living assistance including administering medication, manual handling, and domestic assistance.

**About you**:
To be successful in this role, you will:

- Possess a caring, compassionate, and supportive nature, with excellent communication skills
- Certificate III in Individualised Support or equivalent
- Be able to work in a self-directed environment
- Have intermediate ability to use IT systems including MS Word
- Have your own mobile phone, your own vehicle with comprehensive insurance and a Queensland Provisional or above clear Driver’s Licence
- Experience working alongside clients with cognitive and/or physical limitations would be looked upon favourably.
