**About the Role**

We are currently seeking to appoint a Database Administrator with a leading NSW Government agency. The Database Administrator will plan, develop, maintain, manage and administer organisations' database management systems, operating systems and security policies and procedures to ensure optimal database and system integrity, security, backup, reliability and performance.

Key accountabilities include:

- Monitor, maintain and co-ordinate databases
- Design backup processes for server and associated data
- Work with other Database Administrators to develop and maintain database standards ensuring consistent industry best practices are implemented across the cluster
- Work on security policies and procedures

**About You**
- 7+ years of proven experience as a Database Administrator working through multiple ICT project lifecycles.
- Experience with AWS' Relational Database Service (RDS) and Azure SQL Database or Azure Database for MySQL.
- Demonstrated experience working with security policies and procedures
- Previous NSW Government experience highly desirable
