We are working with a large client, who specialise in people services, to source an Accounts Payable Officer for a 3-6 month project.

This role is looking to commence ASAP, so you must be immediately available/available on a few days notice to be considered.

**The Role**

Reporting to the AP supervisor, your duties will include:

- Processing a high volume of vendor invoices, accurately matching them with purchase orders and relevant documentation - processing up to 400 invoices per week.
- Conducting thorough invoice reviews, expense report validations, and payment request verification's.
- Collaborating with vendors and internal stakeholders to promptly resolve any discrepancies and ensure accurate and timely payments.
- Executing payment processing tasks, including checks, wire transfers, and electronic transfers.
- Maintaining meticulous records of all accounts payable transactions, ensuring compliance with auditing and reporting standards.
- Assisting with month-end closing activities and generating financial reports as required.
- Providing support to the finance team on ad-hoc tasks and projects.

**Your Profile**
- Demonstrable experience in accounts payable is essential.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience using SAP will be beneficial.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact confidently with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a project-based environment, where requirements may evolve
