**What being an OSHC Educator entails**

OSHC Educators care for children before school, after school and during school holiday periods. Highlights include running fascinating, fun-filled and educational activities with primary school children - such as science experiments, outdoor games and painting.

As an OSHC Educator you will:

**Your workspace at The Y**

**YMCA Chatswood Hills Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)** is located at Chatswood Hills State Primary School licensed for 135 children and offer Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care between the hours of 6:30am and 6:00pm.

YMCA Chatswood Hills OSHC offers a wide range of fun, stimulating and appropriate programs that reflect real world experiences and home settings. This helps encourage a sense of community amongst the children, facilitates leadership skill development and allows your child to practice social skills in a supported and caring environment.

We blend this philosophy with the National Quality Framework _My Time Our Place_ and Chatswood Hills State School's educational principles to develop appropriate, engaging and most of all FUN activities for your child whilst in our care.

**To be successful you must have**:

- A Certificate or Diploma qualification in Children’s Services or equivalent, or you are studying towards a relevant qualification
- A fantastic sense of fun and a tremendous imagination
- Hold or are willing to obtain a current First Aid and CPR certification
- Current Blue Card or, willingness to obtain one
