**Crown Property Services** are seeking cleaners to support our cleaning operations within a correctional facility in Ararat, Victoria. This is ideal for people seeking a sea change and the opportunity to work in a processional and rewarding environment.

**Position**: Cleaner
**Location**: Ararat
**Start Date**: ASAP
**Hours**: Casual, with full-time availability. Monday to Friday, including weekends and public holidays as required.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As a cleaning team member, you will be maintaining a clean, hygienic, and safe environment within a secure facility. You will be inducted, trained and mentored to succeed. You will need to have good knowledge of general cleaning processes and safe ways of working. You will have a desire to learn and develop your skills.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
- Ensuring high standards are consistently met.
- Support the team in achieving daily deadlines as they arise, beyond the regular cleaning schedule.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Flexible to accept additional shifts, as and when required.

**About You**:

- Proven experience in a cleaning role is essential.
- Good working knowledge of cleaning protocols, chemical safety and infection control.
- Strong attention to detail & ability to work autonomously in a structured and compliant environment.
- Physically fit with the ability to carry out manual tasks.
- Must be comfortable working in a secure, high-surveillance environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Good attitude, respectful and professional in the workplace.

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- National Police Check (current or willing to obtain)
- Must pass the Precinct’s Security Clearance and Background Check
- Current driver’s licence.
- Work rights in Australia.
