With 1,000 dedicated staff across various departments, we are excited to announce an opportunity in their Health and Safety department for a **Group HSEQ Manager** to join their organisation.

**What will you be doing for this role?**

As the **Group HSEQ Manager,** you will promote a safety culture by effectively planning, implementing, monitoring, and reviewing health and safety initiatives, including policies, procedures, education, and site inspections/audits, in compliance with health and safety legislation. You will support and drive the Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) strategy across Australia and New Zealand, transitioning from a compliance to a performance culture. Provide policy advice, conduct investigations, deliver training, and mentor teams, fostering a culture of safety and quality at all organizational levels.
- Hazard and Risk Management: Provide expert advice and support to address specific hazards and risks across the business. Conduct and document risk assessments to identify risks, implement control measures, and outline findings and recommendations.
- Compliance and Audits: Conduct regular internal audits of jobsites and depots to validate compliance with procedures. Monitor corrective actions and the 'Opportunity for Improvement' registers for continual improvement.
- Policy Development: Review and prepare environmental policies, plans, and procedures. Research, prepare, and update health and safety plans, policies, and related documentation to ensure compliance with legislation.
- Training and Education: Prepare, disseminate, and deliver information for toolbox talks and staff training. Ensure staff are adequately briefed, and maintain records of attendance.
- Incident Response: Respond to incident and injury notifications, conduct post-incident investigations, prepare reports and recommendations, and submit them to necessary parties, including the RTW Coordinator.
- Support and Communication: Support business development activities with HSEQ responses, provide direct support in sales calls, and act as chair for local health, safety, and environment committee meetings.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative assistance and support for the HSE area. Ensure the adequacy of the 'Approved Supplier Register' and SDS Register. Liaise with service providers for drug and alcohol services and provide relevant HSE information and statistics to managers and staff.

**What will it take to succeed?**
- Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience/qualification in Safety Management and Occupational Health and Safety leadership
- Ability to build strong and enduring relationships
- Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines and legislations.
- Strong background in a blue-collar environment.
- Traffic Management, Civil or construction industry experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
