JCHMC is a boutique and expanding firm of heritage professionals that undertake cultural heritage and environmental assessments throughout Western Australia. We are currently undergoing an expansion phase with a list of exciting upcoming projects.

JCHMC is seeking suitably qualified Anthropologists, Archaeologists, Environmental Scientists and GIS Specialists to join our evolving team.

Consideration given to both full time, part time and casual applicants. Positions available for experienced heritage specialists and newly graduated individuals, with remuneration based on experience.

**$70,000 - $140,000 per annum**

**Key responsibilities**:

- Assessment of heritage survey/activity notices, providing advice and quotations services to the Heritage Manager
- Critical analysis and peer review of heritage and/or environmental survey assessments, reports and recommendations
- Assisting in the preparation of field surveys
- GIS mapping and analytics
- Undertaking Aboriginal, historical and maritime research and field assessments
- Undertaking community consultations including for Social Surrounds Assessments, Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Management Plans and Due Diligence and Desktop Assessments
- High level report writing
- Under direction from management, liaise with external clients, stakeholders and Government departments in a timely and professional manner
- Any other duties requested by management as required

**It is expected you will have**:

- Bachelor Degree in related disciplines including; Anthropology, Archaeology, Environmental Sciences, Sociology and GIS and Analytics
- Demonstrated experience working with and communicating with Aboriginal people
- A high level of physical fitness and enjoy working in the outdoors
- The availability and flexibility to travel and often work in remote locations
- Proficiency in the use of QGIS, including mapping and data analytics
- Proficiency in the use of GPS’s
- Demonstrated understanding and the implementation of all applicable cultural heritage and native title legislation
- Skilled in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite
- The ability to undertake and pass health and drug/alcohol screening
- The ability to provide a National Police Clearance
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of records, maintaining proper documentation
- Demonstrated high level attention to detail, with excellent report writing skills
- Highly developed organisational skills including the ability to plan and coordinate workloads to achieve goals and meet deadlines under pressure
- High level communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and with mínimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective and efficient administrative systems and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team member
- Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, establish priorities, use initiative and be proactive in raising and dealing with issues

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
