**About the Role**
The Allied Health Assistant (AHA) works as part of a multidisciplinary team, to support the delivery of Allied Health services within Suncare. Under the direction or supervision of an Allied Health Professional, the AHA may be required to deliver therapeutic individual or group programs. You will work collaboratively with Suncare customers in their homes as they progress to meet their goals. This is a permanent full time Position (76 hours/fortnight).
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Provide quality Allied Health services to Customers as directed by the relevant Allied Health professional
- Assist in the preparation for group programs and supervision of customers under the direction of the Allied Health Professional.
- Provide general support to the Allied Health Clinical team including compilation of clinical and program materials and collection and maintenance of equipment.
- Assist in the preparation of assessment, treatment, and clinical processes for customers.
- Able to work independent and safely within the scope of AHA practice and confident to refer clients back to the treating therapist, when applicable (e.g. change in client needs)
**About You**
**You have**
- A Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance.
- Current open Queensland Driver’s Licence and willing to use own vehicle for work purposes, ensuring vehicle is appropriately insured.
- First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Massage therapy credentials and experience in safely delivery massage therapy services, to the frail/aged client.
**You will demonstrate**
- The ability to work in a variety of settings with culturally diverse families and indigenous communities with the ability to be culturally sensitive and appropriate.
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills including active listening, ability to establish rapport, maintain positive professional relationships, problem-solving, effective consultation, and negotiation.
- High level computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management.
- Effective time and workflow management skills and demonstrated ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong sense of focus, task-oriented, nonjudgmental, open personal qualities, clear sense of boundaries.
- A strong sense of respect for confidentiality involving all stakeholders.
