An Orthopaedic Clinic is seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist to join their busy practice. Opportunity to work with a team of ground-breaking orthopaedic surgeons. On the job training provided in a friendly and supportive team environment. Monday - Friday role, flexibility with hours is essential.

Major responsibilities:

- General administration duties including answering of high volume phones calls, scanning, filing, photocopying, attaching documents to patients’ files, receiving and actioning faxes.
- Open and close clinic as per set procedure.
- To greet patients and other callers at the Practice in a courteous and efficient manner.
- To make and confirm appointments for patients following set procedures.
- Take payment of surgery and consultation fees and issue invoices/receipts as required.
- To enter and update patient registrations and patient notes.
- Liaise with Workcover/Third Party insurers for consultation approvals.
- General housekeeping such as tidying and cleaning of waiting room etc. when necessary.
- Opportunity to expand skills and career path as the clinic grows.
- Attend to account queries if possible or refer problem to Practice Manager.
- To exercise confidentiality in regard to patient care and all aspects of the practice.
- Escalate clinical enquiries to our clinical team.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work in a team and autonomously
- Capable self-starter with the ability to multi task and complete tasks in a timely and effective manner
- High standard of professionalism and ethical decision making
- Honesty, reliability and high standard of integrity
- Punctual and sound time-management skills
- Ability to multi-task and work quickly and efficiently using critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- High standard of verbal and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail, quality and accuracy
- Be responsible and accountable for own work
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to act with tact and discretion, maintaining the highest level of confidentiality

Desirable
- Arabic speaking
- Medical receptionist experience or experience in other clinical setting
- Experience with Genie Medical Software

**Salary**: Up to $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Medical admin: 1 year (preferred)
