
Sales Assistant for Magicians

**Note: This is an in-person position (Surry Hills, near central station). It’s all about working with our team, no work at home available.**
**The role**
- We are The BlackTies, Sydney’s #1 event magician group, and we are seeking a lively sales person to work with us from Oct 1 to Dec 15 2024 _**(with the possibility of permanent extension) **_. You will be talking to clients (mostly over the phone and occasionally in person) about their amazing parties and how our magicians can add a touch of wonder and excitement. You will be guiding clients in our sales funnel and helping them book a magician, in collaboration with the rest of our team members from our central Sydney office location._
- You will really enjoy this role if you are fun, vibrant, and good at listening. You will follow a simple sales process (can be done without much past sales experience) for calling potential customers, as well as documenting as you go. There will be no cold calling._
**About you**
- You are fun, bubbly and not too serious. After all, we are selling excitement and fun
- You are a good communicator, who is genuinely caring, emotionally intelligent and authentic (not salesy and overconfident), especially over the phone.
- You are growth-minded, and good at learning.
- You have good time management and task management skills.
- You are a people person, and you are passionate about connections and relationships between people.
**Responsibilities**
You will be responsible for the following:
- Placing calls to customers with the aim of promoting our magicians, adhering to our sales approach (please note that this role goes beyond typical receptionist duties, requiring a sales champion capable of sealing deals and effectively employing a predefined script/methodology).
- Communicate with customers (mainly over the phone) in a way that’s friendly and fun, in line with our brand’s communication guidelines.
- Working with our sales team to close deals with customers inquiring about magicians at their events.
- Contributing to our sales team reaching target KPIS and sales goals during the specified periods.
- Taking notes on client’s events and requirements in order to make a proposal / quote for them.
- Maintain follow-up with clients, nurturing the relationship between them and The BlackTies until they book in their event
- Collaborating and communicating with our head of sales (who just happens to be a really cool k-pop star magician). He will manage the overall pipeline and assign you with deals that you will be responsible for. Communication with Fung is vital as he will be guiding you to ensure your growth and success.
- Participate in feedback sessions on your role with a growth mind-set on how to improve, close more deals and be more fun. This includes rehearsal sessions and training sessions where we explore how your calls could have gone better.

**Required experience**
- Good communication skills. Being able to build rapport, being relatable and understanding the customer. Including in person and over the phone. This means being genuinely caring, authentic and emotionally intelligent. (not salesy and overconfident).
- Time management and task management skills; used for planning, organising and prioritising tasks within the pipeline
- A growth mindset aimed at improvement and learning. - learning and being open to feedback from colleagues.
**Optional Desired experiences**
- Background in event planning/management (industry experience, or study experience).
- Background in arts or an artistic field. (No you don’t have to know how to do magic tricks. We take care of that part ;)
- Past experience with phone sales, documentation and customer services are desired but not essential.
