**The role**

Our Project Development team is expanding and seeking a Study Lead to manage projects through the development phase from exploration drilling, scoping and concept design, stakeholder consultation, encompassing approvals and preparation of documentation to support a Financial Investment Decision. The role will be focused on supporting the expanding Lithium portfolio within the Project Development team.

This role involves having strong stakeholder engagement with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, whilst supporting services for our joint venture functions. A key component of this position is to oversee the work of specialists in environmental, native title and heritage approvals processes including agreements, surveys, modelling and submissions to regulators to support project approvals.

This position will report directly to the Manager Project Development. You will be predominantly based at our MinRes HQ Office located in Osborne Park, and occasionally there will be requirement to oversee projects.

**Key deliverables**:

- Define the project purpose and scope
- Develop and monitor project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans
- Develop project responsibilities and understand project phases and deliverables.
- Develop and communicate project risks
- Develop a stakeholder register and manage critical relationships across all aspects of the project
- Manage tenure, environmental, native title and heritage approvals processes including agreements, surveys, modelling and submissions to regulators to support project approvals.
- Manage technical assessments which can include process / logistics / infrastructure design, hydrology and hydrogeology, geotechnical and mine design
- Manage the development of financial models which include capital and operating cost estimates to then determine project economics
- Manage the development and review of project documentation to support a Financial Investment Decision
- Support the transition of the project to construction and into execution
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules and associated financial budgets
- Implement and manage the project cost controls to ensure that all work is delivered on time and to budget

***What you’ll bring to the team**:

- 10+ years in the mining industry or equivalent at a senior level
- Relevant tertiary education in engineering, scince or similar
- Strong understanding of project management and delivery
- Strong stakeholder engagement & management - both external & internal
- Strong understanding of financials and economics
- Strong focus on project delivery
- Strong cost management and document control knowledge
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.
- Well-developed communication skills
- both oral and written
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
- Ability to travel to site as required
