**YOUR Next Employer **is a Builder/ Developer who undertake medium rise apartment projects on the Gold Coast. They are in a unique position where majority of their projects are negotiated and in turn are in a strong financial position. Due to growth they are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join their tight knit team.

**YOUR Role** This role will see you join a high calibre team working on Design and Construct projects. You will work across several projects covering design issues from the pre-construction stage and then following the projects through construction.

In this role you will deal closely with the design consultants, client stakeholders, relevant authorities and the wider construction teams as the designs are developed and delivered to the construction team. You must be able to identify buildability issues and offer solutions. You will not be designing in this role but managing the design process with consultants and project stakeholders.

You will continue to support the project through the construction phase, giving you well-rounded job experience on carefully selected projects for high value clients.

**YOUR Experience **ideally would be from a Project Management / Design Management Background with ideally 5+ years previous experience working across pre and post construction activities on similar projects, as well as:

- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture
- Strong interest in design and construction projects with the ability to identify buildability issues
- Ideally have Design Management experience working within construction from a mid-tier builder working on new build projects
- You will be a strong communicator and have the ability to build rapport and liaise with stakeholders at all levels
- You will demonstrate strong communication skills and expert construction knowledge
- You will have a good understanding of legislation requirements and processes
