**About the position**:
We are seeking two experienced and motivated Personal Assistants to join Council. We currently have two opportunities available:
**Manager of Library and Community Services **- The L&CS Division delivers frontline services to the community through Council’s 7 libraries, 35 community centres and halls, community transport and social support programs. We plan for the provision of social infrastructure assets across Wollongong Local Government Area and collaborate with government, non-government and community partners, as well as with other Divisions of Council, to co-design and co-deliver innovative programs, assets and services.

**Personal Assistant to Manager Infrastructure Strategy + Planning** - The ISP Division supports a range of functions related to public infrastructure such as roads, footpaths, stormwater, public buildings and open space across the Wollongong Local Government Area. We are advocates for local transport; stormwater and floodplain; and emergency management issues for our community. We collaborate with a range of stakeholders across the resident and business community, within the organisation and multiple NSW and Australian Government Departments

These two roles work closely with the Division’s leadership team and supports the delivery of community services and Infrastructure Strategy + Planning by providing high level, proactive and efficient administrative support in a fast-paced environment and across a broad range of issues. You will have excellent organisation skills, a collaborative and proactive approach, along with the ability to effectively problem solve and multi-task. You’ll use your high-level communication skills and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Managing internal and external customer interactions, relationships and processes, to support planning, provision and reporting of divisional projects, programs and service outcomes.
- Monitoring and coordination of corporate reporting, including liaising with staff and managing deadlines
- Managing procurement, including corporate credit card reconciliations, invoicing, staff training, travel and stationary orders
- Management of divisional correspondence to meet corporate deadlines utilising Council request management systems.
- Providing secretariat support where required, including drafting agendas and taking minutes.
- Managing and coordinating meetings for the Divisional Manager, including liaising with both internal and external stakeholders and diary management.
- Utilising high level computer literacy, such as high-level proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computing systems, to efficiently complete tasks.
- Problem solving and results driven management of resources and time management to ensure quality outcomes.
- Using your initiative to create new solutions and add value to the division’s business and outcomes
