Site Supervisor

**Your future role**:
- You will be responsible for coordinating the onsite construction work according to priorities and plans of the project and overseeing the quality of the project
- Your role will be also responsible for coordinating and allocating the daily work requirements of the construction workers (including sub-contractors)
- You will act as the point of contact between the construction workers and management and reports on the progress of the project to management
**Your Responsibilities**:
- Ensure daily site works are performed in accordance with the construction program.
- Allocate the daily work requirements and supervise construction workers.
- In conjunction with the Site Manager / Project Manager, plan and review overall status of project(s) on an ongoing basis and regularly report on the progress of the project to management.
- Ensure the project is adequately staffed and all site resources (labour, machinery, materials, subcontractors etc.) are effectively utilised and monitored to achieve timely completion of projects.
- Control of material usage.
- Ensure that the Site Management Team is notified as soon as plant is available for another site and preliminary notice of forward requirements.
- Upon completion of task, ensure all appropriate hired in plant and equipment is promptly off hired.
- Ensure the Project Manager is promptly provided with any relevant documentation received from either the client or authorities.
- Remain polite, courteous, and helpful to all visitors to the site, clients, and members of the public, always upholding the image and values of the company.
- Ensure all site allocations are up to date on Salesforce
- Ensure that all statutory requirements (e.g., Local Council, EPA, Safe Work NSW etc.) are always adhered to on site.
- Report on the progress of the project to management.
- Manage effective working relationships with the client, certifying Authority / Council etc.
- Proactively identify details or problems ahead of program where additional detail and or planning is required.
- Understand the IMS System, administer the Project Management Plan on site, ensuring all site personnel and sub-contractors always adhere to it.
- Ensure that the relevant information is communicated to construction workers enabling them to effectively carry out their duties effectively, providing performance feedback and support as required.
- Induct Subcontractors onto site and sign them onto SWMS
**Essential experience for your new role**:
- Previous supervisory experience in the earthmoving and civil construction industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the construction industry and processes.
- Excellent attention to detail, planning and organisation skills, with the ability to run a construction site effectively.
- Ability to read construction drawings.
- Ability to perform quality checks on construction equipment.
- Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills.
- Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels.
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of WHS, Environmental Management and Quality Systems is required.
- High level of initiative to continuously improve productivity and cost control.
