**ABOUT THE BRANCH**

The CBMS is the Whole-of-Government ICT system underpinning the budget and financial management of the Australian Government. It manages the flow of financial information between Finance and Australian Government entities to facilitate cash and appropriation management, the preparation of budget documentation and financial reporting.

The CBMS is used to:

- prepare and publish documentation for the Federal Budget, Mid-Year Economic and Fiscal Outlook (MYEFO) and other estimates updates
- manage annual appropriations, special appropriations and special accounts (collectively referred to as Cash Management)
- produce the whole-of-government monthly financial reporting
- produce the whole-of-government annual financial reporting (ie. Final Budget Outcome (FBO) and the Consolidated Financial Statements (CFS)).

**ABOUT THE** OPPORTUNITIES**
- Australian Government Budget process
- Public Sector financial reporting including AASB accounting standards & Government Finance Statistics reporting
- Whole of Government consolidations and SAP’s Business Consolidation System; and
- Contribute to management and delivery of change and release activities.

The Systems Support Officer in the CBMS Support team assists with the following:

- Daily system monitoring, verifying and reviewing all CBMS service management queues, key business processes, etc.
- Regular system and access monitoring to identify possible disturbance
- Contribute to management and delivery of change and release activities.

The Technical Support Officer in the CBMS Infrastructure team is required to support the CBMS infrastructure team in:

- The delivery, in conjunction with the infrastructure managed service vendor, of the CBMS Infrastructure team deliverables
- Operational support of the CBMS infrastructure to ensure reliability of CBMS
- Troubleshooting of any defects / issues / service requests relating to the CBMS infrastructure stacks with stakeholders and providers
- Helping to ensure that CBMS infrastructure is robust and resilient to both internal and external adverse actors
- Liaison and stakeholder management with ICT security, testing, SAP, BASIS and other teams as required
- Assistance with project planning and scheduling
- Assistance with vendor SDM’s in running daily CBMS operations and implement changes to CBMS infrastructure as required
- Assistance in coordinating scheduled external audit/assessment to achieve/maintain CBMS system accreditations.
