As a member of the Parks team you would actively contribute to the delivery and presentation of Councils parks and open spaces. You will be required to operate vehicles and trailers driving around the LGA. You will also be required to operate various plant to undertake duties including mowing and detailing of grass areas, landscape maintenance of garden areas and other duties including presentation, inspections and maintenance of play spaces and other active areas in our parks.

About the role
This position is responsible for operating vehicles and trailers and various plant to maintain parks and open spaces. Undertaking the horticultural maintenance of parks and open spaces. On a daily basis you will:
Safely drive Councils vehicles including towing and maintaining trailers and plant

Undertake maintenance of parks and open space using ride on and push mower, brush-cutters, blowers, hedgers etc

Conduct weed spraying and gardening works and activities

Undertake directed turf and garden renewal and embellishment works

Complete litter picks and other maintenance activities.

About You
Qualifications in horticulture, parks and gardens, turf or similar.

Previous experience in undertaking horticultural activities to maintain parks and open spaces

Previous experience using small plant to maintain parks and open spaces

Must have a minimum of MR licence and experience operating trucks and trailers in residential areas

What’s on offer
We are offering an attractive total remuneration from $65,281.19 to $71,886.63 (Includes salary + super).
