**About us**:
We are a not-for-profit aged, disability and community care services organisation serving the culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities in metropolitan Sydney.

We are seeking two Program Assistants to assist the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) team in our **Surry Hills** office.

**Overview of the role**:
The CHSP Program Assistant’s role is to support the CHSP Coordinators to develop and manage a portfolio of CHSP activities including aged day centre programs and perform relevant administrative duties. This role ensures the weekly activities of our CHSP services are carried out in an effective and efficient manner.

**This role will entail the following duties**:

- Assist the CHSP Coordinator in planning and implementing programs.
- Support client’s needs, and their health and safety during services at the aged day centres.
- Supervise volunteers as instructed by the CHSP Coordinator.
- Accompany clients travelling between their homes and the day centres.
- Provide general administrative support and assistance to the CHSP Coordinator including the preparation of documents and reports.
- Facilitate clients' access to aged care services via My Aged Care portal.

**About you**:

- Relevant qualifications in aged, community, social or disability services preferred.
- You will possess an average command of English, both in writing and speaking.
- You are fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.
- Willing to obtain a first aid certificate.
- You will have a valid driver’s licence.
- Reasonable level of computer literacy including MS Word and Excel.

**Clearances (Essential)**
- You are an Australian citizen, permanent resident or hold a visa allowing unrestricted working rights.
- Willing to undertake a National Criminal History Check.

**Benefits of working with us**:

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15 per week

**Salary**: $32.21 - $33.22 per hour
