The Director Audit Analysis and Insights oversees the analysis of audit data (reports and findings) to identify risks, insights and trends. This role supports complex audit and analytics projects and works closely with internal and external stakeholders and audit teams to deliver quality reports. The role undertakes data analysis, interpreting the results of the analysis to provide advice and insights to inform decision making and policy; and identifies trends, patterns and clusters within data sets.
As a part of the senior leadership cohort, the Director will work collaboratively with the Executive Director and other Directors within the Audit and Risk Management Directorate, to identify emerging trends and risks through the analysis and evaluation of information gathered from registers, reports and management interactions.
The Director Audit Analysis and Insights will source information and provide advice that is timely, accurate, well researched and relevant, providing regular briefing papers, reports or submissions.
**Duties**
- Leads the strategic management of the section and the development of strategic solutions;
- Provides strategic advice in relation to the Department’s risk management, audit and assurance obligations.
- Provides professional and technical analyses on a range of audit and risk issues;
- Raises awareness of emerging or existing trends, insights or patterns from analyses in the form of reports, briefs or papers;
- Motivates, guides and develops staff;
- Assists the Executive Director, Audit and Risk Management with the overall management of the Audit and Risk Management team, while working collaboratively with other colleagues and counterparts to achieve the Chief Audit Executive’s objectives.
