**Work for a local council as a Payroll Officer, working 38 hours a week as a Casual.**

**Pay rate: $37.58 - $43.16 per hour**

**About the role**

We are looking for a capable Payroll Officer to assist in all activities regarding the management of employees pay and benefits with a high quality of payroll services and human resources systems support to the organisation.

**Your primary responsibilities will include**:

- Assist with the general operation and delivery of Council’s payroll services including, accurately processing payrolls, accurate maintenance of employee information (including superannuation and leave records) and accurate compliance with Council’s Enterprise Agreement and other relevant legislation
- Provide general administrative support within the Human Resources Department and accurate and timely customer service and advice
- Various other tasks related to Chris21 system
- Provide excellent customer service

**The Successful Applicant will have**:

- Demonstrated experience in all payroll function of a large organisation
- Ability to self-manage workloads
- Be a team player
- Have Chris 21 payroll system experience
- Demonstrated commitment to customer focused quality service
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Able to obtain a valid Police Check
- Be COVID vaccinated and be able to obtain/have a working with Children's Check
