**The Position**

This role will contribute to building a culture that has a focus on achievement, to be self-actualising while functioning in a humanistic, encouraging and affiliative work environment. Support, promote and contribute to the branch strategic plan as a member of the senior management group.

Key responsibilities include:

- Supervise daily maintenance work at site and ensure a comprehensive preventative maintenance program is developed and maintained.
- Conduct strategic reviews of operations to minimise unplanned breakdowns and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Oversees a three-shift operational maintenance team.
- Ensure that all electrical installations / modifications are documented and meets local authority requirements.
- Provide regular communication and high-level customer support to the production team.
- Act as an escalation point for major breakdowns and troubleshoot.
- Ensure department operates within budgets and delivers reliability results.
- Ensures that maintenance technicians are adequately motivated and supported.
- Work closely with Sanitarium’s Engineering Department and site projects manager.
- Promote a safe working environment.

**The Person**
- Relevant trade or engineering qualification.
- Ideally minimum 5 years industry experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding/experience in mechanical engineering
- Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Experience leading maintenance teams and optimising maintenance operations.
- Demonstrated conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills in a multidisciplinary environment.
